- Influenza (seasonal)
- Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
- Meningococcal
- Pneumococcal conjugate
- Polio
- Rotavirus
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Any combination of above vaccines
*Note: COVID-19 vaccines are currently not covered (handled under CICP)
Eligibility Requirements
Must demonstrate:
- Receipt of a covered vaccine AND
- One of
- Injury lasting > 6 months OR
- Hospitalization and surgery OR
- Death
Filing a Claim
Deadlines
- Injury claims: Within 3 years of first symptom
- Death claims: Within 2 years of death and 4 years after first symptom
- New vaccine/injury additions: Within 2 years of Table addition for injuries up to 8 years prior
Proving Your Case / Two paths to establish causation:
1. Table Injuries
- Listed in Vaccine Injury Table
- Occurred within specified timeframe
- Presumption of causation applies
2. Off-Table Injuries
- Must prove vaccine caused injury
- Requires medical records/expert testimony
- Must show:
- Medical theory of causation
- Logical sequence of cause and effect
- Clear temporal relationship
Available Compensation
- Medical expenses (past and future)
- Rehabilitation costs
- Lost earnings
- Pain and suffering (up to $250,000)
- Death benefit ($250,000)
